Seattle-based mobile firm Starform has raised $5 million in a round of seed funding. The round was led by Bitkraft Ventures with participation from Global Founders Capital, VGames and Dune Ventures.
The funds raised will be used to fuel the studios upcoming title, which is currently in closed beta and set to open to the public later this year. Itll also go towards scaling the team, which currently stands at 11 people, as well as starting additional projects.
"At Starform we are committed to creating an environment that we believe is the best place to build games. We want to work with people who are excited to write their own story: to use their skills, experience, and passion to shape the entire player experience," said Starform CEO Lou Fasulo.
Starform was founded in 2018 by veterans at King and Z2, led by Fasulo, the latters former CEO. At launch, the firm received a $1.25 million cash injection from angel investors.
