Today Nintendo released an updated corporate governance report that details increased efforts on diversity.
The platform holder said that it is "recruiting women and creating an environment in which women can build successful careers."
However, Nintendo added it doesnt have specific targets for the appointment of women or foreign nationals to its managerial ranks.
As of March 31, 2021 women represent 23.7% of Nintendos managerial staff globally and 4.2% of managers in Japan.
"As a global company engaging in the entertainment business, which is characterized by increasingly diversifying customer needs and preferences, it is essential that we leverage the talents of a diverse workforce," the company said.
The updated policies to the companys diversity comes a week after Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser commented on the ongoing situation at Activision Blizzard.
