PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan is not satisfied with how Activision Blizzard has responded to its recent scandals, according to Bloomberg.
The outlet reports that Ryan emailed employees a link to yesterdays Wall Street Journal story saying that Kotick -- among other things -- intervened to keep a senior Call of Duty developer after he was accused of sexual harassment, overruling a recommendation from HR that the developer be fired.
Ryan said that Activision "has not done enough to address a deep-seated culture of discrimination and harassment," adding that PlayStation reached out to the company to see what it was planning to do in response to the incidents detailed in the article.
"We do not believe their statements of response properly address the situation," Ryan said.
In the aftermath of the Wall Street Journal article, the Activision Blizzard employee group ABK Workers Alliance called for Koticks removal, and within hours the companys board of directors issued a statement supporting Kotick.
Today, a group of Activision Blizzard shareholders -- led by those who objected to Koticks compensation package earlier this year -- issued a call for Kotick to step down.
Additionally, the Twitter account of Activision Blizzard studio Toys For Bob posted on Twitter using the ABK Workers Alliances preferred hashtag, saying, "Today and always, we stand in support of women and all of our fellow coworkers at Activision Blizzard. We must build #ABetterABK."
